About Sadpara Lake.
Sadpara Lake is the nearest picnic spot to the people of Skardu city which is just on a distance of 5 km from the city.The Lake is situated at an elevation of 8,650 ft above sea level and is spread over an area of 2.5 km².It supplies water for both drinking and irrigation purposes to the whole city. By keeping view on the increasing demands of water and electricity govt. of Pakistan decided to construct a dam here at Sadpara. Work on Sadpara dam project properly started in 2009 and completed in 2011 after completion of this mega project the shortage of drinking water as well as electricity shortage solved to some extent.by:pk tour planner
